I’ve been in the mountains for the last 26 days. Unwinding, reconnecting, growing while also letting go. It’s still and quiet here. The sound of the wind, the lake, and the animals telling their own story.
I’m in their home, exploring their land. A visitor they welcome with open arms.
Sometimes life throws so much at you at once, it feels impossible to figure out what to do. But that chaos? It’s a gift, a sign pointing you toward the path you’re meant to take. Because once you start digging deeper and taking the steps required, the road reveals itself. We are the ones who decide how we navigate each moment. We can distract ourselves, procrastinate what truly matters but that only pulls us further from the dream. It’s up to us to understand where we are and have the discipline to do something about it.
I won’t lie, it’s often easier to sit and analyze a problem, to collect insight and convince yourself you know the answer… but then take no action. That in turn just clouds your mind with even more stress and anxiety.
Start small. Uncover the first layer of a problem, come up with a solution, and execute. Check one small thing off your mental to-do list. Clear some space in your mind and give yourself the satisfaction of knowing you moved forward.
At any moment, we probably have 100 things we’d like to improve about ourselves. Trying to tackle all of them at once? That gets us nowhere. Narrow it down to your top 3. Create one action step for each. Set yourself up for success and watch your life shift. Watch how much better you start to feel every day.
That’s the key: give yourself the moments to improve, keep your ‘right now’ goals realistic, keep your self-talk positive, and commit to actually getting better every single day.
The world around us isn’t going anywhere, it’s on us to decide how we show up in it while we’re here. Put your phone down. Take a walk outside. Find that little piece of yourself you’ve been missing.
